Words truly cannot describe the masterfully planned and perfectly celebrated event that was Ben and Anya’s wedding. There are not enough words in the english (or Polish or Russian) language! Over 100 people travelled far and wide to venture to Sedona to party with two of the most lovely people on the planet. This was a full-out destination wedding. Not one guest was from Arizona!! Guest came from Canada, France, Poland, and countless states around the country. I don’t know about you, but MAN those are some good friends!!! If you’re going to travel that far though, Sedona is definitely worth the trip.
For the past two weeks, the forecast showed a storm brewing right around the big day. Weather apps were checked every single day, sparking last minute changes to keep guests from getting soaked! At the rehearsal, the weather was absolutely stunning. Sunny and 75, barely a cloud in the sky! Even the morning of the wedding, the sun was shining bright and we were all ready for a dry day… but Laura and the Heart of Sedona Weddings planning team knew better – and they were prepped with umbrellas and tents and trolleys and THANK GOODNESS for them, because before we knew it, the rain was coming down hard. As the bridal parties were getting ready, the chances looked slim for outdoor photos. We were busy making plan B’s, when the rain gods paused the rain and magically gave us a full hour for photos on the incomparable Rachael’s Knoll. It truly could not have been better timing!
The ceremony was truly one of the most serene, intimate events I have ever witnessed. A string quartet serenaded everyone down the aisle to Ave Maria. As rain began to fall on the tent above, A + B said their I do’s surrounded by fog, a slight breeze, the perfect overcast sky, and an INSANELY beautiful floral ring created by the Sedona Mountain High Flowers team. The sound of the rain was the perfect soundtrack to this sweet exchange of vows. A few hilarious moments during the ceremony had the crowd erupting in laughter (I’m looking at you Matt and Ben 😉 ), the two exchanged “wings” (you had to be there HAHA) and sealed it with a kiss!!
The rest of the evening was filled with fire pits, dancing, drinking, and the most GORGEOUS sunset to end the day. These partiers danced late into the night and sure looked like they were having the time of their lives 🙂 Congrats to you two, I am so so so thankful to have been a part of this special day! ❤️
“…with this wing…”
