SARAH + JOEY

I’m not sure I’ve ever felt so blessed to be a part of a wedding day. From the moment I met these two, we felt like friends. I felt loved and appreciated and important and I now know that everyone who encounters them feels the same way. This couple is ADORED. They shower their friends and family with kind words and constant affection. They are TRUE SOULMATES. I’ve never seen a greater example of that word: soulmates. Their souls are visibly connected. Sarah and Joey spoke the most genuine, sweet words for their vows. They described their life journeys toward each other in the most exquisite manner. I felt in that moment that I had known them my whole life!

They had a beautiful sage ceremony before their first look, where sister to the bride and Maid of Honor, Nicole saged the bride and groom while they had a moment of reflection and gratitude, along with a few deep breaths before seeing each other! When they finally turned around, there was not a dry eye in sight. Sarah and Joey have a cosmic connection and it was palpable. When we did their bridal photos, they barely even needed any direction from me! They were just so in the moment and in love, their love and happiness glows in every photo. The ceremony was nothing short of tear-jerking…even though they had already seen each other, these two were so elated to be getting married that the tears were flowing again and I think that is just THE GREATEST THING EVER. Under the chuppah, they had a Jewish celebration of love and finished it off with a stomping of the glass…which only took two tries 😉 The reception started with an epic first dance, that began with the couple’s own HANDSHAKE. Yes, handshake. MAGICAL STUFF HERE, PEOPLE. Joey surprised Sarah with a song he wrote a few years back with a new verse for their wedding day and serenaded her with the help of his friends – it was literally a movie moment. I was floored. And the night ended with donuts, HARKINS POPCORN, and lots and lots of dancing 🙂

Sarah and Joey, I am forever grateful to know you. Congrats, beauties! <3
