July 2, 2018
When I was 2 years old, I met Michael. On the beach, on the 4th of July, surrounded by family and friends who would soon become family. His cousins became my best friends, his grandma became my Bama, his family’s beach house became my favorite place on the planet. Every summer, we spent Independence day week together, growing up and and growing the circle of people we spent it with. 15 years later, Michael brought Miranda to our 4th of July trip. Our group is overwhelming even if you know everyone, but Miranda was thrown in with the sharks and quickly became a crucial part of my 4th festivities. The whole family came to love her so quickly, and that’s really no surprise because she is just that wonderful. We celebrated together every summer, and Mike and Miranda listened to everyone say, “come on you two, when are you going to get married???” for 9 years. As annoying as I’m sure that was, last night was completely worth the wait 🙂
On this July 4th weekend (because obviously when else were they going to do it!), Miranda and Michael had a beautiful beach ceremony surrounded by all those friends who became family. Between Miranda’s beautiful mermaid hair, drop-dead gorgeous gown, a beautiful Carpinteria beach day, and the most incredible florals I have ever laid my eyes on, the day truly could not have been more lovely. I am so overjoyed that these two found each other and have FINALLY tied the knot.
Congrats Mike & Miranda! You are so loved <3
